It’s finally time for you to zip up your space suits because all systems go. Interlay is live! Today, Wednesday 8th June is the day you’ve all been waiting for: Interlay has officially started the airdrop of INTR to the contributors of the Polkadot crowdloan.
However, the excitement isn’t over. With wallet integrations and staking on the Interlay DApp already live, truly all engines are fired up. To help you navigate this new galaxy, here’s a go-to guide for the official launch of Interlay!

How do I claim?
Step 1:
As with all airdrops, you’ll need to sign the Terms & Conditions before you receive your tokens. If you haven’t already done so, don’t worry, we have a guide for that, too!

The keys are in your hands. With the deactivation of Sudo, the Interlay team no longer has the ability to make changes to the codebase without community governance. Welcome to decentralisation in the truest sense.
Decentralisation is the pillar of Interlay and is amongst our most important values. We’ll ask the community to make a governance proposal shortly after launch to activate the staking rewards, so be on the lookout for that.

- The Interlay parachain went live & started block production
- Successfully distributed INTR to the community
- Launch of the Interlay DApp with staking & transfers already enabled
Today, we crossed the next big landmark on our roadmap: INTR Airdrop
While we believe it’s important to celebrate accomplishments along the way to larger goals, a recent fortune cookie advised me to ‘look back, but don’t stare.’ We will continue to work on actionable goals as we proceed to scale the world’s first fully decentralised and secure solution for Bitcoin interoperability.
What’s next for Interlay?
Here are the next stops on our roadmap:
- Governance vote to activate staking rewards!
- Start the BTC/DOT and BTC transaction fee oracle
- Mint first interBTC on mainnet
- Onboard first community-run Vaults to Interlay mainnet
- Open interBTC minting to the community!
- INTR on (de)centralized exchanges (liquid market needed for INTR as Vault collateral)
These are the immediate next steps. After we accomplish the Core Systems Launch and interBTC Launch, we have big plans for expansion. Check the roadmap as we continue to grow and scale. It’s important to repeat that Interlay exists because of our community, and will continue to scale only by community governance via proposals and voting.
